A thermal dryer is used to dry plastic in plastic recycling. It can dry PE/PP film, PET flakes, and PP woven bags, PE PP rigid flakes.
The process of a thermal dryer uses the heating pipe to generate the hot air and use the hot air to remove the water in the waste plastic.
The thermal dryer is combined with a heater, blower, and pipeline cyclone. The blower will blow the hot air into the cyclone, and we also call the thermal dryer a pipeline dryer.
A thermal dryer is always used after the dewatering machine or squeezing machine. These two can decrease 20-30% water content, and the thermal dryer reduces moisture to under 1-2%.
The thermal dryer uses the physical method to remove the water/moisture, and the horizontal dewatering machine uses the mechanical way.
A dewatering machine is better to remove the water content. A thermal dryer is better to rub the moisture content. When they work together, the waste plastic will be dry properly.
